Do you have questions about ProjectST? We've answered some of the most commonly asked questions below. If you don't find the answer to your question here, please contact us by filling out our Technical Support Request form or call us toll free at 1-206-774-8474.  Although we will make every effort to respond to your request on the same day, and we almost always do, please allow up to two working days as we occasionally experience peaks in demand for technical support.

Q:  While downloading ProjectST, I got a message that ProjectST is not commonly downloaded and could harm my computer. What's going on?

A:  This is the latest Microsoft IE message that is issued for all software that has not been downloaded a certain number of times determined by Microsoft. The ProjectST website has its SSL certificate. The ProjectST software is digitally signed and insured.  Trustwave (a leading credit card processing organization) processes our sales. We don't know why Microsoft doesn't check these credentials before issuing this message, but we and our digital certificate guarantee that our software will not harm your computer. Return to download.

Q: What's the difference between a "Single User License" and an "Additional User License", and which do I need?

A:  The "Single User License" contains your project database, the programs required to "interact" with the database and a license for one user.  The "Additional User License" is designed to add another user to the original database and contains only the interactive programs and one "Additional User License".  Several "Additional Users" can be "connected" to the initial "Single User Version".

Q:  Can I download a demonstration "Single User Version" and a demonstration "Additional User Version" at the same time?

A:  No.  Download the "Single User Version" first.  It must be installed on your computer before you  can connect the "Additional User Version" to it.

Q:  I have downloaded the "Single User Version" and now the "Additional User Version" to another computer desktop on our network.  The "Single User Version" worked fine, but when I tried to start the "Additional User Version", I got the message "Can't find linked tables in the Project_ST32_be database.  You must locate Project_ST32_be in order to use Project_ST32." What's wrong and what do I do?

A:  Nothing's wrong.  Each "Additional User Version" will display this message when it is started for the first time.  It just needs to be connected to the actual database.  Just click the "OK" button on the message, then the standard Microsoft directory box will be displayed.  The message on the top of the box should ask where the 'backend' is located.  If you installed the "Single User Version" to the supplied path and directory, you will need to set this directory box to "C:/Program Files/ProjectST32" and click the "Open" button.  You should see the file "Project_ST32_be.mdb" listed.  Highlight that file and click the "Open" button again.  Your "Additional User Version" should start up automatically.  This process will need to be done once for each new "Additional User Version" you install.

Q:   Can I have more than one "Single User Version"?  Can I have them on the same disk drive?

A:  Yes.  For example, if you have several departments within a large corporation, or just want each project manager to have his own database, you may load multiple "Single User Versions" on the same disk drive (or a different drive).  However, during the download process you will have to specify the path and directory you want each "Single User Version" to reside on, and name each "Single User Version" differently.  For example you might want to name one "Single User Version" 'ProjectST_DeptA' and the next "Single User Version" 'ProjectST_DeptB'.  A folder with the same name will be created in the path/directory you chose during the download process.  Then as you download your "Additional User Versions", you can connect each "Additional User" to its respective department.  I know it sounds a little complicated, but it's not and if you have any trouble just call us at 1-206-774-8474. We'll have you up and running in just a couple of minutes.

Q:   Why must I download a demonstration version before purchasing the software?

A:  The demonstration versions of ProjectST are actually "full featured" versions of our software.  These demonstration versions, "Single User" and "Additional User", have unlock coding embeded in the software to convert your demonstration version to a production version.  When you purchase your version(s) from our website, we will send you an unlock code to activate your software, but there must be a demonstration version of the software on your computer to unlock.

Q:  Can I purchase an "Additional User Version" without purchasing  a "Single User Version"?

A:  No.

Q:  What operating systems is ProjectST compatible with?

A:  ProjectST is compatible with all Microsoft Operating Systems.

Q:  Are there annual, maintenance or additional fees for this software?

A:  None.

Q:  How long can I use the ProjectST demo and can I download a second demo version?

A:  Demonstration versions of ProjectST will "shut down" after 14 days.  You may download another demonstration version of ProjectST, but the new demonstration software will know there are 0 days left in the demonstration period and will not operate.

Q:  How will ProjectST use my personal/private information?

A:  EBTek, the parent company of the ProjectST software is committed to protecting your privacy.  We will collect personal identifiable information with our shopping cart. However, this information will ONLY be used to verify the valid licensing of your software.  ProjectST does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to others.

Q:  How do I get a refund from ProjectST?

A:  Call customer support at 1-206-774-8474.  You will be asked a couple of verification questions to insure the validity of the caller, then your refund will be sent via US mail on the next business day.  Your software will be deactivated on the same day.
